The cultural exchange train between China and France departs

In 2024, China and France celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, a "Yi-xin-Europe" China Europe freight train carrying artworks such as calligraphy, painting, and porcelain for cultural exchange between China and France departed from the Yiwu West Station of the Jinhua Railway in Zhejiang Province, passed through Duisburg, Germany, and will arrive in Paris, France in 20 days.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France 60 years ago, the bilateral trade volume between China and France has increased by more than 800 times. Nowadays, series of "Yi-xin-Europe" China Europe freight trains cross mountains and seas, traveling between Yiwu and France, bringing back 2.1 million types of goods manufactured in Yiwu and high-quality local products such as red wine and cosmetics, gathering at the Yiwu China Import Commodity City. According to statistics from Yiwu Customs, in 2023, Yiwu's import and export to France amounted to 4.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
